In healthcare, we often think that the most powerful tool at our disposal is technology. While advances in technology have most definitely afforded Forks Community Hospital opportunities to expand the scope of the care we provide, such as acquiring critically important diagnostics equipment, adopting modern electronic health records, and even using the power of broadband to connect community members with specialty services via telehealth, I am inclined to believe that patient stories are the most powerful tool we have in our mission to advance a healthier West End.
With the launch of our new website, we now have a new platform to hear from those whose lives have been positively impacted by FCH through their patient stories, the hospital, clinics, and, most importantly, the people who are dedicated to delivering excellence in care, 24 hours a day, without fail.
While National Hospital Week is celebrated every May, we are honored by the recognition we receive from patients every day. Whether it’s a simple ‘thank you’ in passing, a kind note passed along in silence, or the courageous words of those who share their experiences on this site, we’re grateful to be part of a community that supports its local hospital throughout the year.
A special thank you to Robert and William Bouchard and Angie Jones for helping us launch our Patient Voices initiative. May you learn about their journeys and take with you some new inspiration to pursue better health, knowing that FCH is right there with you, meeting you where you are.
A Healthier West End Happens Better Together.
