Forks, Washington – July 15, 2026 – Forks Community Hospital (FCH) has been named a recipient of the Rural Hospital Achievement of Quality Excellence from the Washington State Hospital Association (WSHA) for its quality work. The Association presented the award to FCH during its Rural Hospital Leadership Conference in Chelan June 28.

FCH earned the gold award distinction, which is the achievement’s highest designation. Quality measures considered this year include fall prevention, sepsis and opioid harm prevention.

FCH is committed to delivering excellence in health care with the highest levels of skill, professionalism, and compassion, while maintaining a focus on patient safety. It is also committed to continual improvement and to meeting all regulatory requirements, striving every day to consistently exceed the expectations of patients and their families.

FCH CEO Heidi Anderson shared, “Achieving excellence in quality is not one person’s job or one department’s responsibility; rather, it is a commitment by every team member in every area of our operations, 24/7 and every day of the year. The Rural Hospital Achievement of Quality Excellence is awarded to hospitals that demonstrate remarkable dedication to health care quality. To obtain the recognition, hospitals must participate in data submission through the Washington State Healthcare Authority’s Medicaid Quality Incentive Program, which is managed by WSHA.
