24 Jul New Positive Cases of COVID-19 in the West End
Friday, July 24, 2020
Over the last 24 hours, the West End has had two more positive cases with one diagnosed by the Forks Community Hospital. In both cases, the individuals were undertaking their day to day activities. As their symptoms worsened, they sought testing and tested positive. Symptoms of COVID-19 include cough, shortness of breath, fever, chills, sore throat, headache, fatigue, muscle aches, or the loss of the sense of taste or smell. We are wanting to remind everyone, if you have symptoms, seek testing.
On Sunday, July 26th from 1 – 5 p.m., The Clallam County Department of Health and Forks Emergency Management will offer free testing to West End community members who are uninsured, or have limited financial means.
You can come get tested if you:
(1) have traveled outside of the North Olympic Peninsula in the past 3 weeks; or
(2) have had visitors from outside of the North Olympic Peninsula in the past 3 weeks, or
(3) are feeling sick with symptoms of COVID 19.
Testing will take about 30 minutes and involves a nose swab that is not painful. Testing is free and no insurance or identification is required. Testing will be supervised by the Clallam County Department of Health. Results will be provided to tested individuals within days.
If you are feeling sick right now, or miss the testing opportunity on Sunday, call Bogachiel Clinic at 360-374-6998 (#2) to get tested. If, you do not have insurance we have a program that will pay the bill for both the visit and the COVID test. “Most” insurances will waive the patient responsibility for payment if your visit is just for COVID.
