The Medical technologist performs duties such as chemical, microscopic, serologic, hematological, immunohematologic, EKG’s and bacteriologic tests to provide data for the health care provider for the purpose of diagnosing, treatment, monitoring and prevention of disease. Receives specimens for laboratory tests or obtains such body materials as urine, blood, feces, pus and tissue directly from the patient. Makes quantitative and qualitative chemical analyses. Cultivates, isolates and identifies pathogenic bacteria and other microorganisms. Performs blood tests for transfusion. Records and distributes test results and maintains laboratory supplies and equipment as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Bachelor of Science in a chemical or biological science from a 4 year accredited college or university. NOTE: Bachelor’s degree requirement may be waived by the department manager depending on amount and type of experience held

The Case Manager coordinates the organization of clinical documentation, utilization management, and coordination of care across the continuum. This position will review, assess, and identify high risk and high resource consumptive cases. The Case Manager serves as a liaison among all disciplines including Administration, Medical Staff, HIM, Nursing, Ancillary and Financial (aka, "Health Care Team"). The case manager works collaboratively with the health care team to achieve national standards for best practices, discharge planning, clinical documentation and utilization management functions. Intensive Case Manager

The Intensive Case Manager is a salaried employee responsible for providing intensive mental health case management services to priority mental health clients, including the chronically mentally ill, seriously disturbed and acutely mentally ill. The Intensive Case Manager may also provide some support services to intensive need Co-Occurring clients, as assigned. The Intensive Case Manager is under the supervision of the agency Director with clinical supervision provided by the Outreach Director and/or on-site Mental Health Professional.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education- Bachelor’s degree in social science, social work or related area preferred. Other specialized training may be substituted.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Two years direct experience in the treatment of mentally ill emotionally disturbed patients and children including delivery of crisis services. Must demonstrate knowledge of mental health intensive case management in accordance with WAC 388-865, 388-877, 388-877A, and 388-877B. Must demonstrate knowledge of community issues and dynamics effecting case management services as well as the ability to engage difficult to engage clients. Must demonstrate knowledge of location, range, and type of services outside of the catchment area for the purpose of referral. Must demonstrate the ability to use good judgement and skills and be capable of performing required responsibilities with minimum supervision.
