The Medical Assistant performs those duties requested by the health care provider that are designated in RCW 18.135, Categories A, C, and E. The Medical Assistant will also provide other support by assisting with patients, clerical and record keeping duties. Qualifications include: High School/GED. Graduated from an accredited medical assistant school with education to include but not limited to anatomy, physiology, pharmacological principles and medication administration, mathematics, concepts of asepsis and microbiology. Certification:  Must be eligible and obtain an active Health Care Assistant Certification in the State of Washington within 3 – 6 months of hire date. Ability to operate Nebulizer and other equipment within the clinic. Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred. Computer experience desirable. CPR certification to be completed within the first year of service and renewal training as designated to maintain certification.
